Usa River Rehabilitation & Training Center
The Center is a place for people with and without disabilities to live, learn and work together. „We believe in your ability“ is their motto and also the focus of their thoughts and activities. This sentence has three dimensions: to live independently with disabilities, to share your wealth and to put your belief in God.
Relini Day Care
The nursery school offers free education to young children from 2 to 5 years from remote villages in Tanzania. They benefit from lessons in six different subjects, reading (Swahili), writing, English, mathematics, drawing and sport. You can support the preschool by bringing colored pencils, coloring books, simple English children's books and toys such as puzzles, balls... The project is near African View Lodge and can be visited.
Future Stars Academy
A local non-profit organisation teaching life skills through football training to over 150 youth disadvantages boys and girls (ages 8-17) in Arusha. With football the kids can learn about team work, responsibility and attitude and most of them they stay in school to have a chance in life at a later age.
Mbwa wa Africa
NGO for street dogs – a tour of the dog kennels can be organised by African View Lodge.
